In addition to a good stretch, chair yoga participants can also enjoy other health benefits of yoga, including improved muscle tone and range of motion, better breathing habits, reduction of stress, better sleep, and a sense of well-being. Perhaps you take one or two classes a week and love the benefits, but know that a more regular home practice is necessary to truly transform your body and your life. A home yoga practice is valuable not only because it can bring you the cumulative benefit of a daily practice, but by taking control of your own practice, you'll gain a deeper understanding of yoga poses and their specific effect on your body, as well as a deeper, more personal meditative experience. Yet many beginning yogis struggle with either the motivation needed to get on their mats and practice without a teacher, or the knowledge of how to choose and sequence asanas (poses) according to their effects on the body. This workshop aims to provide you with all the tools you need to build a home practice: The discussion will be interactive and will prompt students to try out the asanas we discuss and create their own short flows in class. All levels of yogis are welcome - whether you're looking to begin a home practice, or deepen one that you already have. However, we do ask that you be familiar with basic yoga poses, and have taken at least a couple yoga classes. __________________________________________________________________Home Practice

All workshops are for all levels and are from 2:00p - 3:30p on Saturdays, $30 paid in advance or $40 on the day of unless specifically stated. Please be sure to register early; there needs to be a minimum of 5 people signed up before the workshop day.
