Jonathan’s Bio
I had my first Rolfing experience at the age of seventeen. My family sent me for a Rolfing ten series to counteract my scoliosis, bowed legs, and constant body pains. At that time I was a dedicated martial artist practicing three to four hours a day, so needless to say I was way out of balance. For me the Rolfing series took me much deeper than I ever could have imagined, it not only physically began to bring my structure into balance, but also opened my eyes to a whole new future. At that time I was not sure what happened to me during those ten sessions, but I knew I was not the same person anymore. I had more confidence, stood taller, and moved with an ease that I had never felt before. Everything felt interconnected at a very deep level. I really did not know what happened to me , but I knew I wanted more of it.
That first experience is what lead me down the path of becoming a Certified Rolfer. Being only seventeen at the time I was too young to apply for the Rolfing training, so I filled my time learning and training in Massage therapy, Neuromuscular therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, and Somatic Emotional Release. I spent seven years preparing for the Rolfing application. At that time getting into the training was not easy, but the time I spent gaining experience was well worth it, and paid off during my Rolfing training.
I am now a Certified Rolfer of Structural Integration, and I am inspired to assist others along this process of Integration. The Rolfing series is a good place to come for change and growth. Everybody who goes through this process will have their own story to tell, and will grow in their own way with the work. I will continue to expand and grow in my knowledge and skills so I can better assist all of my clients.
