Emotional Balancing
The Bach Flower Remedies were created by Doctor, Edward Bach in
the 1930's. His philosophy "a healthy mind ensures a healthy body" along with his strong belief that medicine should do no harm, led him to develop several plant based remedies for particular mood states and personality traits. The method of treatment relies on the transfer of "life energy forces" from the plants to the patient, to gently restore balence to negative emotions and therefore stimulate the
bodies own capacity to heal itself.
Up until now, Flower Essence therapy has been used predominantly with human patients, however use with animals has had some startling results. Animals, like humans, have active mental and emotional lives. Careful observation has shown that animals often develop the same problems their owners have, especially psychosomatic ones. Animals may also have to cope with loneliness, anxiety, fear or the trauma of accident or surgery. Behavioural problems are a major concern and often accompany or precede physical disease.
Physical health conditions often manifest from deeper emotional imbalances as an animals psychoemotional state can alter the bodies neurotransmitters and cytocines (the protein messengers that control immune reactions) in both the immune and endocrine systems. This weakens the resistence of the animal to disease. Flower remedies are a gentle non-toxic and non-invasive means of restoring the inner balance of the body through a transfer of "life
energy" from the flower essence to the patient. Alleviating emotional stresses and thus stimulating the body to heal itself.
Bach flowers work on a similar mechanism as homoeopathy. Parts of the flowers are diluted and then potentised to become effective. The essences are then used in different combinations according to diagnosis. They can not be overused or misused, and will not interfere with any other medicine or treatment the animal may be involved in. Similarly, if the wrong remedy is administered, it will not have any negative effect, but will simply have no effect.
WHAT IS AROMATHERAPY?
Aromatherapy is derived from the ancient practice of using natural plant essences to promote health and wellbeing. It consists of the use of pure essential oils obtained from a wide assortment of plants, which have been steam distilled or cold-pressed from flowers, fruit, bark and roots.
Aromatherapy can help ease a wide assortment of ailments; easing aches, pains, and injuries, while relieving the discomforts of many health problems.
Aromatherapy also acts on the central nervous system, relieving depression and anxiety, reducing stress, relaxing, uplifting, sedating or stimulating, restoring both physical and emotional wellbeing.
The appropriate oils can have powerful results, both on the body and the spirit. "Fragrance Oils", "Perfumes" and other artificially made substitutes for Pure Essential Oils can not produce these amazing results.
You might ask "Does Aromatherapy Really Work"?
The answer is YES! Pure Essential Oils are prescribed in Great Britain and throughout Europe for their medicinal benefits. Modern scientific research has proven the potency and healing qualities of Pure Essential Oils.
Many of the oils have powerful antibacterial and antiviral qualities which, unlike pharmaceutical drugs, do not leave behind dangerous toxins.
Young Living Essential Oils
Throughout the ancient world, essential oils, such as frankincense, sandalwood, and spikenard, were among the most costly commodities because of their healing properties. Historical records reveal that healing oils were used widely in Egypt, China and India.
Essential oils are to the plant what blood is to the body. Blood cleanses, protects, oxygenates, nourishes and heals. An essential oil is the distilled lifeblood of a plant. The complex chemical constituents cleanse, protect, oxygenate, nourish and offer many therapeutic benefits.
Most essential oils sold in the US are used for perfumes and flavorings. A synthetic or low-grade oil may actually cause rashes, burns, allergic reactions, nausea, and indigestion. Young Living Farms quarantines, inspects, and tests every single batch of oil for purity before releasing them for sale. Young Living Farms cultivates its own herbs organically on farmland uncontaminated by chemical fertilizers, fungicides, or herbicides.
