Aerial Yoga - Coming Soon

We will be offering Basic Aerial Yoga, as well as Restorative Aerial Yoga and Aerial Tricks classes. The classes are one hour long with a seperate pricing from the other normal classes. With only eight available hammocks, be sure to register early for your class here.

The Benefits

A new study from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) found that women who did three 50-minute aerial yoga classes a week for six weeks lost an average of two and a half pounds, 2 percent body fat, and about one inch from their waist, all while amping their VO2 max (a measure of fitness) by a whopping 11 percent. In fact, aerial yoga qualifies as a moderate-intensity workout that, at times, can veer into vigorous territory.

 

Spine Decompression - the inversions in aerial yoga are completely supported, so no worries of falling out of the pose, and since they're not weight bearing, there won't be compression in the neck, wrists, or shoulders.

Safety

You are only suspended three or so feet from the ground during aerial classes depending on the height of your pelvis, and lower for restorative aerial yoga. Therefore, the risk of injury from falling is minimal.

 

The hammocks are hammocks are made out of special, high-density nylon material that can support over 2,000 pounds, and they are held up by  by steel carabineers, support chains and webbing straps.
